Join us to hear from Selwyn District Council Mayor, Sam Broughton as he shares an update for 2021 and how they are on track for their long-term plan 2018-2028, the major activities and projects involved in this and how it may affect food and tourism in Selwyn over the next 12 months.

The B.linc VIBE event series is an opportunity to hear from one of the wider Lincoln precinct companies about their business and to touch base, reconnect and build connections across the precinct.

About the Speaker

Selwyn Mayor, Sam Broughton

Sam was elected as Waikirikiri Selwyn Mayor in 2016 after six years as a councillor and was re-elected in 2019. He grew up on a sheep farm in Darfield and spent his early career as a youth leader working with and helping young people across the District. During Mayor Sam’s tenure, Selwyn has continued to see unprecedented growth and economic success. He is currently the leader of the Canterbury Mayoral Forum, and Zone 5 lead Mayor representing the interests of the 18 South Island Councils. Sam lives in Darfield with his wife Liz and four-year-old daughter Elliott.
