New Zealand is a major food and beverage exporter, with the industry accounting for 46% of all goods and services exports. The New Zealand Food Innovation Network is a national network of open-access food and beverage production facilities enabling businesses to scale up and commercialise new products. From research and development, through to manufacturing, the government funded network provides a unique level of expertise and access to a diverse suite of manufacturing equipment.

Join us to hear from the Lincoln branch of the Food Innovation Network – FoodSouth’s CEO John Morgan as he shares what the food and beverage industry looks like and how they are helping businesses develop their innovations to be fit for market.

The B.linc VIBE event series is an opportunity to hear from one of the wider Lincoln precinct companies about their business and to touch base, reconnect and build connections across the precinct.

Our Speaker

John Morgan, FoodSouth

John Morgan is Manager of the Food NZ Innovation Network in the South Island.  This Network is part of a national food and beverage export growth initiative.  The Southern Centre has a pilot scale food factory located at Lincoln University which opened for business in November 2015.  Come January 2022 it has aided 150 clients complete more than 300 projects.

 John has worked in industry in management and business development roles for nearly 30 years, the past 10 in the food industry.

 John holds an Agricultural Science Degree from Lincoln University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia
