The report ‘Emerging Proteins in Aotearoa New Zealand: What will it take for the sector to thrive’ has now been released by FoodHQ - the culmination of a six-month project to gather insights and perspectives from over 185 people across the Emerging Proteins sector. 

You are invited to join Dr Abby Thompson for a discussion on the key outcomes of the report, as well as some of the potential next steps and possible projects that could be initiated to support the accelerated development of the sector.

Abby Thompson is the Chief Executive Officer of FoodHQ, a collaborative initiative that brings together New Zealand’s smartest food science minds to drive innovation in the food industry.  FoodHQ works across the country and internationally through facilitating connections, building networks and bringing together the science and business of food.  Its aim is to support a thriving food sector through accelerating the development and export of high-value food products.  FoodHQ has recently launched Emerging Proteins NZ which is specifically focused on aspects related to the development of this particular part of our food sector.
