New Zealand’s role in the food system of the global south is characterised by its position as a major exporter of agricultural products. However, global food systems are evolving fast presenting many opportunities and challenges for New Zealand. This workshop will consider what the future role for NZ may be in the nexus between agriculture, the wider food system and nutrition. It will consider the research methods that are available to help capture the complex interactions between Agriculture, Food and Nutrition. The workshop will be of particular relevance to those who are or wish to undertake interdisciplinary research in this area but also more generally to those who are interested in New Zealand’s position in the global south.
