The future of agricultural wellbeing in New Zealand appears promising as the country continues to embrace innovative and sustainable practices to ensure the prosperity of its vital agricultural sector. With a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship, New Zealand is increasingly adopting cutting-edge technologies, such as precision farming and data-driven decision-making, to enhance productivity while minimising the ecological footprint. The commitment to organic farming and using renewable energy sources further underscore the nation's dedication to sustainable agriculture. Additionally, ongoing research and development initiatives are focused on developing resilient crop varieties and livestock breeds capable of thriving in the face of evolving climatic conditions. As New Zealand prioritises the well-being of its agricultural industry, a holistic approach that considers economic, social, and environmental factors will likely pave the way for a thriving and sustainable future for the country's farming communities.
FarmSalus has worked with many people throughout the food and fibre sector to create a free online tool kit to help farmers cope effectively with life’s challenges and get the most out of every day, regardless of their circumstances. They identify farmers’ needs, help rural professionals add value to their services, and negotiate these testing times.
Join us as Ange McFetridge from Beef+Lamb shares how FarmSalus was created and what it is doing for Farmer Wellbeing.
