Lincoln Envirotown: Cultivating a Sustainable Future Together

  • B.linc Workshop Lincoln University Lincoln New Zealand (map)

Join us for our next Vibe event where we are joined by Dave Fitzjohn from Lincoln Envirotown.

Lincoln Envirotown is an environmental initiative based in Lincoln, dedicated to fostering sustainable practices within the local community. They engage residents through a variety of educational programs, workshops, and events aimed at promoting environmental stewardship. By collaborating with schools, businesses, and local government, Lincoln Envirotown helps implement sustainable solutions, such as waste reduction, energy conservation, and biodiversity projects. Their efforts include community gardens, recycling initiatives, and native plant restoration, all designed to create a more environmentally conscious and resilient community. Through these collaborative efforts, Lincoln Envirotown empowers individuals and organizations to adopt and maintain sustainable habits, contributing to the overall health and sustainability of the region.

A particularly large project they are currently working on is their Responsible Business Awards and Network. These aim to offer help and recognition to all participating businesses regarding their sustainable actions, interest and community engagement.

Our speaker, Dave will share some more about this as well as some of the other exciting projects Lincoln Envirotown is currently working on and how you can be involved.

The B.linc VIBE event series is an opportunity to hear from one of the wider Lincoln precinct companies about their business and to touch base, reconnect and build connections across the precinct.
