On 26th April, He Pou a Rangi Climate Change Commission had publicly released a draft of their second emissions reduction plan advice to government. The consultation period for this advice will run from 26th April till 20th June.
The second emissions budget has been set (2026-2030), but the Government needs a plan to deliver on it that shows Aotearoa New Zealand can reach our emissions reduction targets.
